About the Atoll Explorer
The Atoll Explorer is a small comfortable ship with a relaxed, informal atmosphere on board. There is no dressing up for smart dinners or entertainment. Dress code is shorts and swimwear during the day and casual dress in the evenings both on board and on the islands.
On board facilities
One restaurant usually serving international style buffets with both indoor and open-air dining areas, Jacuzzi, small gift shop, bar, two sun decks, and indoor games. Eurodivers dive school which arranges snorkelling, wind surfing and other diving packages.
Accommodation
Just 20 cabins which are small, simply furnished and have either a double bed or two single beds. All are outside cabins with a picture window and have air-conditioning, telephone, shower and limited wardrobe space.
Category C cabins: as above located on either upper or lower deck.
Category B cabins: as above on upper deck with small balcony and double bed.
Category A cabins: as above but slightly larger and on the upper deck with double bed and balcony overlooking the stern.

Cruise: 7 nights
Maldives Beach: 7 nights (optional)
Day 1 Sun Gatwick/Maldives
Depart on Monarch flight from Gatwick.
Day 2 Mon Maldives/Kurumba
Arrive Male and transfer to the Atoll Explorer, your floating home for the next seven nights. NB: Anyone who arrives on earlier flights maybe taken to Kurumba first, before boarding Atoll around lunchtime.
Day 3 Tue Kurumba/Laguna
An early departure for the island of Laguna Beach. Time to relax on the sundeck, go ashore to the Laguna Beach Resort to relax on the beach or by the pool, or enjoy a snorkeling expedition. Evening underwater marine slide show.
Day 4 Wed Laguna/Ari Atoll/Rasdoo
Early morning departure for the island of Kuramathi crossing the Ari channel. The islands of the Ari Atoll gradually appear on the horizon and the islands and reefs are spectacular sights. Afternoon visit to Rasdoo the local fishing village for shopping. In the evening enjoy a night fishing excursion.
Day 5 Thu Kuramathi/Madivaru
Visit Madivaru a desert island, for snorkeling or wind surfing. Afternoon visit to Mathiveri, a local fishing village. In the evening be entertained by Bodu Beru - local dancing on board the ship.
Day 6 Fri Meerufenfushi/Dhiggiri
Visit the island of Meerufenfushi, then depart for the beautiful island of Dhiggiri for snorkelling and swimming. In the evening enjoy a barbecue on Dhiggiri, against the flickering flames of a wood fire.
Day 7 Sat Dhiggiri
Snorkel, dive or sunbathe Breakfast off the tranquil island of Kandholhudhu and take an excursion to its coral reef where you will have the opportunity to snorkel, often with stingrays or just relax on the beach. This evening, as is traditional on cruises everywhere, the captain officially 'hosts' dinner.
Day 8 Sun Kandholhudhu/Kurumba/Male
In the afternoon, return across the Ari Channel to Kurumba and then on to the main island of Male, the capital, for shopping and sightseeing. A live band on board the ship for the evening.
Day 9 or Day 16 Mon Male/Gatwick
Disembark the Atoll Explorer for your Monarch Airlines flight arriving Gatwick later the same day or extend your stay in the Maldives on the beautiful first class resort of Full Moon for seven nights on room and breakfast.

Day 1 Sun Gatwick/Maldives
Depart on your Monarch flight from Gatwick.
Day 2 Monday
Arrive Male and then a 20 minute transfer to the Atoll Explorer for lunch.
Day 3 Tuesday
Visit Maadhoo, a desert island for snorkelling or windsurfing and in the evening enjoy a slide show.
Day 4 Wednesday
Sail to the deserted island of Theluveligaa for swimming and snorkelling and lunch on this lovely island. In the evening, try your hand at night fishing.
Day 5 Thursday
Sail to the tranquil deserted island of Rai Dhigga. Snorkel, dive or sunbathe from this beautiful island. In the evening enjoy a beach barbeque.
Day 6 Friday
Cruise to the deserted island of Huruvelhi for snorkelling, swimming or windsurfing. In the evening enjoy traditional music
Day 7 Saturday
Sail to Dhigurah for a day of swimming, snorkelling and diving. The Captain also hosts dinner this evening.
Day 8 Sunday
Sail in the morning across the Channel to Kurumba. Enjoy a visit to Male, the capital, for sightseeing and shopping. In the evening there is a live band.
