Review of MV Carina-
My wife and I have had the pleasure of sailing on the Carina twice. We had a great experience and would recommend the Carina highly.
Captain Adam and his crew do an excellent job of showing off the best of the Maldives. He knows the area with incredible detail, and shared some beautiful spots with us.
Our dining experience was almost as exciting as the diving. The kitchen staff presents a flavorful array of local and Sri Lankan fare. A fresh coffee on the upper deck or a cool cocktail was always a nice treat after a dive.
The Carina has a great layout that can accommodate a large group without feeling cramped. The top deck provides an uninterrupted panorama for sunbathing or stargazing. The mid deck is perfect for reading a book under the shade, outdoor dining, bellying up to the bar, or hanging with the Captain. The main deck houses the indoor bar, staterooms, and indoor dining. Down below are some larger staterooms with tons of space.
The owners are very experienced divers and know what it takes to put on a great Dive Safari. The accompanying dive dhoni is well appointed and the dive masters are friendly, experienced, and safety conscious. We explored multiple dive sites in a short period, and always saw a variety of wildlife. I have recommended the Carina to many people and can’t wait to dive with Adam and the crew again soon.
