In north Ari Atoll, just 30 minutes by Maldivian Air Taxi seaplane from Male.
Totally renovated and upgraded during summer 2007, Veligandu Island offers very good standards of facilities and service. This small lush tropical island offers the finest white sand beaches, crystal clear lagoon and an excellent house reef.
Facilities are well designed in keeping with the islands' natural Maldivian style of thatch roofs and sand floors. The sand floor restaurant offers buffet style meals for breakfast lunch and dinner and the thatched bar is a romantic place to seek some shade and have a drink by day, or linger over the latest cocktail by evening. Relax or be as active as you wish and enjoy the many activities to be found. Such as scuba diving, snorkelling on the house reef or special boat excursions, sailing, sightseeing excursions, fishing, windsurfing, volleyball, badminton and a fitness centre.
All rooms (75) offer a kingsize bed, wooden floors, private sundeck, airconditioning, ceiling fan, sitting area with DVD, minibar, tea and coffee/espresso machine, telephone, television and shower.
Jacuzzi beach villas have a terrace looking out to sea plus outdoor jacuzzi in your private courtyard garden.
Water villas are built over the lagoon on stilts, are very spacious with sitting area and sundeck with steps leading in to the lagoon below.
Jacuzzi water villas are as the water villas, beautifully furnished with outdoor jacuzzi.
